This compound is molded into a deep, symmetric tread design that features wide, circumferential grooves to channel water from between the tire's footprint and the road to help reduce the possibility of hydroplaning. Continental's Acoustic Alterra Technology is used to design a tread pattern that minimizes noise and provides a comfortable ride. The ContiPremierContact tire's structure includes a polyester cord body and twin steel belts with size-specific nylon reinforcement to provide ride quality, strength and long-term durability.
