| The 4x4 Sport Contact is Continental Tire's Street/Sport
Truck Summer tire designed to offer ultra high performance tire
capabilities to the drivers of performance pickups and sport utility
vehicles. Used as Original Equipment on the Porsche Cayenne S and
Cayenne Turbo, the 4x4 Sport Contact is designed to combine the tread
design of Continental's original ContiSportContact Ultra High
Performance Summer tire with the large rim diameter sizes appropriate
for light trucks. The 4x4 Sport Contact is not intended to be driven in
snow. The 4x4 Sport Contact features an asymmetric tread design with large outer shoulder blocks to enhance cornering stability and control. A continuous center rib enhances steering response and high-speed stability while wide circumferential and lateral grooves channel water to enhance wet traction and reduce the possibility of hydroplaning. The tire's structure includes two steel belts reinforced by spirally wrapped polyamide over a rayon cord carcass to enhance handling and high-speed capability. |
