| The HTR Sport H/P is the Street/Sport Truck
All-Season light truck tire member of Sumitomo Tires' family of HTR
(High Tech Radial) performance tires. The HTR Sport H/P was
developed to provide the drivers of sporty pickups and sport utility
vehicles enhanced appearance and performance. The HTR Sport H/P is
designed to combine sports car performance and a passenger car-like
ride with the big wheel plus sized look and load carrying capacity
required by light trucks, while providing year-round traction, even
in light snow. On the outside, the HTR Sport H/P radials feature an all-season tread compound molded into a symmetric tread design that features independent shoulder and intermediate blocks along with a continuous center rib to provide stability on dry roads. Four wide circumferential and plentiful lateral grooves help direct water through the tire's footprint to enhance hydroplaning resistance and foul weather traction. Tread block sipes increase the number of biting edges to enhance light snow traction. On the inside, the HTR Sport H/P features twin steel belts reinforced by Sumitomo Tires' Jointless Nylon Band (JNB) Technology on top of a polyester cord carcass to blend predictable handling with a smooth ride. |
